Kevin Scalia
Kevin Scalia is Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for Netsmart, a cause-connected provider of knowledge and technology that helps health and human services providers deliver outcomes-focused services and care to more than 25 million persons nationwide.
Netsmart clients include mental health and addiction services agencies, health homes, psychiatric hospitals, private and group mental health practices, public health departments, social services, child and family services agencies, managed care organizations and vital records offices.
Scalia has executive management responsibility for strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and business development He also manages strategic relationships and new business opportunities, and is responsible for developing alliances with key industry associations.
Scalia plays a significant leadership role in legislative and policy initiatives, including working to extend full eligibility to behavioral health providers for Medicaid and Medicare incentive funds for the Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records.
Prior to his current position, Scalia served as Netsmart’s vice president of operations. Before joining Netsmart in 2002, he served as president and chief operating officer of a Long Island, N.Y.- based professional services firm that provided enterprise applications to mid-size and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, he was chairman and chief executive officer for a manufacturer of supercomputers, security equipment and medical imaging equipment. Scalia served as an advisor to the first President George Bush, representing small business on issues related to defense transformation.
Scalia is a founding member of the Long Island Software and Technology Network and a member of the College of Engineering Advisory Board, State University of New York at Stony Brook.
He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and has a Masters Degree in Systems Engineering from Polytechnic University.
